NOTE: verify that new key has PK3 stamped on it.
· Switch ignition ON and start engine.
· Switch ignition OFF and remove key.
· Within 5 seconds insert new key.
· Switch ignition ON.
· New key now programmed.
NOTE: a maximum of 10 keys can be programmed using the master key.
How – Master key not available
NOTE: this procedure cannot be carried out on export market vehicles.
· To program a new master key proceed as follows: Switch ignition ON with master key to be programmed.
· STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT MESSAGE will be displayed on the driver information center (DIC)
· After approximately 10 minutes STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will switch OFF.
· Switch ignition OFF
· Wait 5 seconds
· Switch ignition ON
· STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT MESSAGE will be displayed on the driver information center (DIC)
· After approximately 10 minutes STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will switch OFF.
· Switch ignition OFF.
· Wait 5 seconds
· Start engine.
· New master key now programmed.
· With a scan tool, clear any digital trouble codes (DTCs)
· Replacement parts can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment.
